Email Autoresponder: How Do You Create An Email Autoresponder Opt-In Email Form That Works

Have you heard that your websites success is in the list?

It's true.

A healthy thriving list is like pure gold to a miner. Its value is incomparable.

However, not all Email autoresponders are created equal.

So, how can you make an opt-in email form for your own website that really works.

First, you need to decide if you are going to run this program from your own mailbox or hire a service to maintain it for you. In my opinion Aweber is the absolute best solution available, you may decide differently but I would recommend checking it out before you do so.

Whatever you decide your next task is to position your sign-up form on your page correctly. Pop-ups are not highly recommended though Aweber does have a "fade in" option that they do advise using. I myself like the in text form, as they are much less intrusive.

However, you don't want to put the sign-up form just anywhere on your page. Instead, draw an imaginary "Z" on your monitor. Wherever that "Z" intersects with your page is a good place for your opt-in form. I personally prefer the upper left corner as it gets the most attention before the "real" content has been read.

Give something away on your form. People like free things. I remember the days when gas stations would give away free things so that you would purchase gas from them. Those days may be gone, but not on the Internet. I'm currently working on an EReport about how to write for the Internet, when it's complete I will charge non-readers while giving it away free to those who sign up for my newsletter. This concept encourages both sign-ups and loyalty if I do it right.

Use a double sign-up process for subscribing to your newsletter. While this may mean the loss of some readers, it avoids others accusing you of spam because they have to confirm that they actually want your newsletter before they start receiving it.

There are literally hundreds of ideas for making the most out of your opt-in Email form. Perhaps another would be to keep the content being offered in the opt-in form and the newsletter itself niched directly to the interests of your audience.

If you follow ideas like the ones above your Email autoresponder success will only be a heartbeat away.

In An Economic Depression Internet Marketers News Must Find And Report Truth Else They Steal The Empire State Building

I read an article today about how someone was able to steal the empire state building. I'm not sure if this article was factual or not, but I am sure that it brings up an excellent point that Internet Marketers news must find and report the truth in an economic depression.

Are we in a recession?

Are we in a depression?

I'll let those who deal with such things figure that out. After all, that's not my point.

I remember several years back while living in Seattle that the news came out of the Space Needle being moved to Moses Lake. The news was so convincing that many people actually believed that this was going to take place. I personally visited the Space Needle during this time and there was yellow tape clear around it? That yellow tape made the reports all that more convincing.

Eventually, the prank was exposed for what it was and the gag had run full circle.

Or how about the Orson Wells radio program of Martians invading the earth? There he was reading a book over the radio as if it were really taking place. People actually ended their lives over that prank.

When the credibility of a report is found to be faulty all further information is held in question. You don't need to be a professional journalist for this to be the case. For example, on my own voice mail I talk about healthy chocolate. I received a message recently telling me that healthy chocolate would be nice but it is truly an oxymoron.

Fortunately, I have clear factual evidence to backup the words of my voice mail on my Body By Chocolates blog.

So, did someone really steal the empire state building? I doubt it, but you can find that report at http://petersantilli.com/?p=95. I can however tell you that credibility in Internet Marketing news no matter if you are in an economic boom or in an economic depression is imperative to the success of whatever project you happen to be working with.

How Britney Spears News Outranks Letters To Santa Clause Using Twitter Tools

Ever use Twitter?

It's becoming a favorite tool of my own Internet Marketing processes. But how does this relate to Britney Spears news or letters to Santa Clause?

Easy.

I saw this post earlier today:
"Britney Spears tops Yahoo searches"

Which led to an article about the extreme popularity of Britney Spears. Like, that's not rocket sciene.

Then I saw this post:
"Just unfollowed Santa Claus because he wouldn't follow me back... Nobody gets a pass"

Using Twitter can indeed be quite helpful for anyone's cause, but only if you use it in the right way.

What is Twitter?

It is a Web 2.0 Social Network where people have the ability to share whatever they choose as long as it is done in 140 words or less. The best place to find out more about Twitter is on Twitter.com or you could use TwitterAnswers.com for more help.

So how would Britney Spears, BodyByChocolate or anyone for that matter increase popularity on Twitter?

Here are some direct Twitter ways.
* Setup an account
* Actively participate in Tweeting, which means sending 140 character or less messages.
* Talk about interesting things that people want to here about.
* Be sure to check direct messages often

Here are some tools that could be used to further her cause.
* TwitterLocal.net (Find people in your local area)
* TwitzU.com (Promote a cause or event)
* TwitScoop.com (Find out the latest on what people are talking about)

And for the record how did Santa Clause get put on the knotty list?

When someone chooses to follow you, you need to follow them or they can simply remove you from their follow list. It's really only right to reciprocate a follow in the Web 2.0 world.

Remember you heard the truth about how Britney Spears news outranks letters to Santa Clause here first and follow BodyByChocolate for even more useful information about using Twitter tools as well as healthy chocolate consumption.

Blog Profits: Do Article Directories Help Links Increase Blog Profits?

You've created a blog.

You've written and posted articles.

Now you want to know if submitting to article directories help links increase blog profits.

Perhaps, the best answer to that question is "it depends."

If you have been niching your content for your blog to a specific topic and this article relates to that topic then the answer is yes.

But why?

First, search engines love websites when they get backlinks. Especially when those backlinks are from websites that have at least a PR3 level. Increasing your popularity on the search engines will lead to more people finding your website through the engines. Consequently, the more people that visit your website the greater your chances of earning more income from your blog.

There is another way that you will directly benefit from article directories. People do actually use those directories and when they visit your website they have the chance of reading your signature line and clicking on the links within which lead to your blog or website.

However, if your article is well written, people have the opportunity of taking your article and posting it to their website. They get the content they need for their blog and you get the backlink you need for your popularity. In this way, everyone leaves being a winner.

These are the primary direct ways in which you benefit. There are others.

An indirect option happened to me a couple of years ago. Someone read my article in a directory, came to my website, and requested that I begin writing for them. This certainly isn't going to happen to everyone everyday; but it can happen to anyone any day of the week.

I personally use article submitter to get my articles to over 300 different directories. You are free to submit your articles manually if you prefer, but what a pain.

Therefore, done right, article directories help your links increase blog profits in many ways.

Traffic Creation Tools: Improving Website Marketing Activities By Using Twitter Traffic Creation Tools

Have you ever discovered a new toy only to rush out and tell the world about it? I started research for this article to tell people about my Twitter experience and that is exactly what I intend to do.

No, I'm not a Twitterholic yet.

And I'm certainly not ProTwitter.

But I can't help but think that my own traffic creation techniques will benefit by using Twitter as part of my website marketing activities.

Last Friday I setup my @bodybychocolate Twitterefic account and instantly found that I had 10 friends. What exactly does that mean? Are these 10 people that are genuinely interested in my topic or spam artist that will take up more time than an Email storm.

I'm not sure.

However, if there is a way to niche a twit like you do a website or blog then I think there is a place for Twitter in my life. However, if Twitter is nothing more than random untopical TwitNits then I'm not convinced of its usefulness.

There are tools that appear to help people become more Twitterfied. Two of my current favorite traffic creation by using Twitter tools are:

TwitStat.com
Twhirl.com

Other apparent Twitterific tools I'm looking into and would recommend you doing the same would be.

TwitScoop.com
TwitThis.com
Twellow.com
* TwitterLocal.com
TweetBeep.com
* FriendFeed.com
Twist.Flaptor.com
Twitdict.com
* TweetAnswers.com

NOTE: The asterisks are tools that I have moved into the top of my own personal Twitter checking out options. What is your own personal favorite Twitter tool?

Being a noob to Twitter I know I have a lot to learn, and perhaps long range the biggest thing I'll learn is that Twittering is a waste of time rather than an excellent place for website marketing activities. I hope not, considering all they hype about Twitter.

What Is A Bum Marketer Traffic Creation Process?

Perhaps it would be easier to explain what a bum marketer traffic creation process is not.

It is not dressing in shabby close while standing in middle of the freeway. While that may indeed create traffic, the resulting popularity equation is quite likely to be rather low. There is however a positive way of answering this question which, in time, will lead to hordes of visitors coming to your website and/or blog.

I talk about bum marketing rather frequently. Truth be known it is one of my favorite styles of marketing. Today I decided to take a reverse look at this entire process from what I have explained in previous articles.

*** HitTail ***

First I install hittail on the site I desire to build. Then I start the game of wait writing building articles and content using marketing methods for bums that I explain in other articles on my site.

It may take awhile, but soon I see my first trickle of results from HitTail. They tell me how people are finding my site. In time, what I first found as a trickle because an all out gushing river of keyword ideas and concepts for me to write about.

*** Beyond HitTail ***

As I look through the results I find topics I would like to write about. For example, this article was built directly from the resulting processes. I created the title from keywords I thought I wanted to use while weeding out those that did not fit the process.

How did I know what did and did not fit?

By using simple Google searches with my desired keywords in quotes (ie " ")

*** An Example ***

With all the news about Acai berries lately, let's say I wanted to write an article about this powerful antioxidant for my blog. I go to Google and put in the following.

"Acai"

And find that there are 5,020,000 competitors fighting for that keyword by looking at the blue bar at the top of the Google results. Ouch! If I hope to compete in this market I better do something and fast.

One of about a trillion logical options would be to change my search to the following.

"Acai berries"

Now I only have 234,000 competitors. Clearly, that took a huge bite out of the competition, but for best results I want to find a keyword phrase that has between 1000 and 5000 competitors. Some competition is good, just as long as you don't drown in the process.

On the good side however, there is a healthy amount of AdWord ads on the right column. People pay good money for these ads. If people are paying the chances are terrific that there is money to be made off this keyword phrase.

However, I'm not going to settle for a nugget when the gold mine is just around the corner.

So I look to the left and the right of the results down the middle of the page as well as in the AdWords till I find something I would like to add to my keyword phrase and come up with.

"Acai berries facts"

Only 20 competitors! Now we need to alter things till it's between 1000 & 5000. After only 5 minutes of searching I find the perfect long tail keyword phrase.

"Chocolate Acai berry"

Which has lots of people paying for Google AdWords as well as a healthy dose of competition coming in at 1,980 competitors.

However, by itself it doesn't seem to make much sense.

What if we added two longtail keyword phrases together to arrive at an enticing title of something like?

What are the healthy benefits of chocolate acai berry products?

Now all I need to do is write an article with the chosen long tail keyword phrase in the first and last paragraph, post it to my http://BodyByChocolate.com site and wait for the traffic creation to take affect. While any real bum marketer knows that this won't happen over night, it is true that good things come to people that wait.

NOTE: But what if you applied this entire process to PPC? Can you say zoooommmmmmmm!

What Should You Consider Before Choosing An Affiliate Program?

Your reputation!

Nothing like starting an article with the answer, but it's true. If you promote a bad affiliate program you will be sorry in more ways than one.

Perhaps you've heard statements like

* 1 negative can destroy 100 positives
* No news travels as fast as bad news
* A bad report can kill a good concept

It's true you know. And never is it truer than in the life of an affiliate marketer. Therefore there are some things you need to know before choosing an affiliate program to promote.

Many people will tell you that you need to know the product first hand. You need to buy, experience & digest whatever it is before you market it. This certainly isn't bad advice, but sometimes it can be quite impractical.

Better still, would be to know your established niche.

* Who are you trying to reach?
* What are their hot buttons?
* How can you show yourself the expert of their issues?

You don't want to peddle just any product that happens to catch your eye. Instead, your niche audience needs to have an extreme interest in your product even before you attempt to market it. How do you know what your audience is interested in?

You could take a poll or a survey.

However, I recommend that you build your nice site (consider blogs), and then go look for resources that compliment what you have built.

Other things to consider include

* The reputation of the company
* The support available for your given product
* The cost of your item
* And how long it has been available to the market

You could have the "world's best mouse trap." But what are you going to do if everyone interested in this product of yours already has more than enough of whatever it is you are attempting to market to them?

I heard a story recently about a woman that had built an entire website around a given product. One month after she opened for business her supplier shut down and she could not find another supplier. She had orders to refund, complaints to field & business to run. The only thing she didn't have was the actual product.

Bottom Line: What a nightmare. Be sure that your company is stable.

There are many things to consider before choosing an affiliate program to manage. Making sure that all the above points are among them will help your cusses to grow and grow and grow.

How Do You Promote Your Online Business With Blogs?

Generally, I look for long tail keywords to focus my articles upon.

I made an exception this time when a reader asked me this exact question.

Why?

Simple.

I am successfully using blogs to promote businesses and consider myself an expert when answering how do you promote your online business with blogs.

*** MLM GOLD MINE ***

Wait!

Don't run away so fast.

This is not an MLM (Multi-Level Opportunity), but rather power for those who choose to do business in this way.

One such client that I am working with is in a company called Xocai and wanted a place where he could post articles about his company. Not only did he end up with that, but I also put together a nice video arsenal for people to view when the stopped by as well as an interactive Google search bar capable of searching all critical sites related to his healthy chocolate company.

You can see what we came up with by visiting
===> http://BodyByChocolates.com

As this site matures he hopes to get readers involved in the various conversations, which would be nothing but net for his long range goals.

*** ORGANIZED ORGANIZATIONS ***

If you're in business for yourself you have probably heard about networking groups that are in your local area. What makes for a networking group can indeed vary. But the underlying principal is that it is a group of like-minded people getting together to share ideas that everyone can benefit from.

One such group that I designed a blog for wanted an easy reference place for people's websites and contact information as well as the ability to communicate special events and information between the group members. Blogs are perfect for this as you can invite others to publish there own information on the same site. Blogger allows up to 100 people to post to the same blog.

No more looking for that elusive missing piece of paper to find out about a given event, it's all in one place and easy to access.

Now what would happen if some creative individual put a video related to their product on this platform? Since the person is known, and since video is so highly appreciated on the net the chances are that many of the group members would end up watching the video. Now when the group gets together next time people already know more about their specific product.

Here is the example for how this process is working.
===> http://BNA-AM.BlogSpot.com

Don't forget to check out the interactive polling function when visiting this blog. Knowledge is power!

*** SELF PUBLISHING SOLUTIONS ***

Another client just wrote a niche oriented book related to history. He wants an easy way of marketing his information. Building an interactive blog just makes sense for this client. Adding FeedBurner.com technology to this blog allows it to self promote itself in many different ways across the net.

Here is how that looks.
===> http://effectualhistory.blogspot.com/

With that said, it is easy to know answers to questions like "how do you promote your online business with blogs"? The answer is in multiple ways including videos, articles, comments, links, automated marketing, newsletters (which I haven't covered here), and much much more. Thus the question really should be, why aren't you promoting your web business using blogs?

TheSecondTier: A free affiliate training program by Russell Brunson's at TheSecondTier

You’ve been waiting for a long time and finally its here - free affiliate training that will blow all the others out of the water!

The already popular TheSecondTier affiliate training center has undergone a complete information and visual makeover.

As an affiliate you’ll get more tools and they’ll be more powerful than ever. This translates directly into cha-ching! Here are just a few things that make this affiliate program the most effective affiliate program out there:

• Huge commissions on both first AND second tier sales!!!
• Product tools for all types of affiliates.
• Full training center with access hours of video and audio training.
• Live affiliate manager blog where you can get your affiliate questions answered.
• Weekly live training calls (every monday morning!!!)

Russell Brunson's unique philosophy that affiliates should be provided not only with powerful tools but the knowledge to use them has pushed TheSecondTier to the top of competing programs.

Russell has taken affiliate training to a whole new level. He understands that he can have hundreds of affiliates that don’t know what they are doing and get decent sales OR he can give them the knowledge and tools they need to create explosive amounts of money AND share with them a very generous portion of the profits from each sale they generate!

Here are just a few of the things that you'll learn inside of TheSecondTier:

How to choose the right product for you to promote - One of the biggest mistakes that almost all affiliates make when they first start out, is that they try to promote too many things at once. This video will show you exactly how to choose the right one or two products that will make you the most money.

How to set up an "Affiliate Squeeze" page - Less then 2% of all affiliates use this powerful technique, but after you implement it into your affiliate promotions, you will see your commissions grow exponentially.

How to drive targeted traffic to your "Affiliate Squeeze" pages for FREE - Once you learn this simple (and free) concept on how to drive traffic to your "Affiliate Squeeze" pages, you will be able to start literally writing your own paychecks.

How to strategically place "Affiliate Land Mines" and watch your profits EXPLODE! - Follow this one simple strategy and you will start getting checks in the mail every month!

How to dominate your Pay Per Click ad campaigns - It's very powerful if you learn how to do it right. This video will walk you through the process to get high converting PPC ads!

How to use teleseminars to close ten times the clients in 1/2 the time - One of the secrets to selling a lot of products as an affiliate quickly is doing teleseminars. I was nervous when I did my first few, but now I can't stop because every time I do one, my affiliate checks from that day are anywhere from $2,000 - $15,000 (and it's a lot easier then you'd think).

How to broker JV deals and make a fortune on your 2nd tier - Many of our affiliates earn thousands of dollars each month from the efforts of others. These videos will show you exactly how they find super affiliates to add to their second tier.

How to protect your commissions from thieves while increasing your conversions - One of the number one concerns that affiliates have are people stealing their commissions. You will learn the techniques that will protect your links and also guarantee that even the worst thieves will gladly give you their commissions instead of keeping it for themselves.

• and a whole lot more....

Russell does not discriminate against less experienced affiliates. In fact, he’s already taken countless numbers of people from knowing 0 to being listed among his top affiliates. It is so effective that some people actually pay to sell products for him!

The products Russell puts out are of top quality and always in demand. In fact, people call his office months before products are ready just begging to know when they can get their hands on them.

Combine this with all the promotional and training tools Russell Brunson's team provides and you’re already half way to making serious affiliate commissions. The other half will be done when you take advantage of this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity!

Does Affiliate Marketing Work? Is It A Sales Mechanism Gone Bad, Or Does Affiliate Marketing Work?

Does affiliate marketing work as a good sales mechanism?

If you relate personally to the following thoughts, this article is your oasis in a world of Internet marketing madness.

Have you've joined an affiliate program center like

* ClickBank.com?
* CJ.com?

Or perhaps you have focused in on specific companies by joining affiliate programs from

* Amazon.com.
* Ebay.com.

Or you've stumbled upon what you think is the worlds greatest widget and joined even more niched companies as an affiliate. For me that would include companies like

* TrafficGeyser.com (Video broadcaster and a whole lot more.)
* OddCast.com (Interactive search engine that can be integrated into most any website.)
* Aweber.com (Automated newsletter service people subscribe to when visiting your web.)

And the list goes on and on and on.

You've told everyone you can think of about these tools.
You've even Emailed your entire personal contact list (a BIG no no in the world of Internet Marketing.)

And yet, when you logon to their super powered high quality affiliate marketers exclusive detail screen you still see the same results of "0 Sales" staring back at you. It's now that you begin to wonder if affiliate marketing even works.

The answer is, YES! It really does.

The problem is not in the concept of affiliate marketing, but rather training.
Think about it for a moment.

A doctor spends thousands of dollars studying to be the best in their field.

A lawyer has to pass a comprehensive bar exam before they can practice.

Heck, ever a truck driver has requirements to meet before some companies will even pay them the time of day.

And yet, here you are "with link will travel" and expected to know exactly how to make things work for you. Isn't that just a little more than ridiculous?

Of course, you could join any of a number of services that promise you the moon. All you have to do is spend an outlandish amount of money and they will gladly show you the way to your castle.

Let's see. Given our current economy most people are starting out with a negative of some sort. Let's be conservative and say that you are currently behind by $5000 (hey, your one of the lucky ones.)

Current debt = Negative $5000
Affiliate sales = $0
Affiliate training = Negative $1000 or more!
Grand Total = Negative $6000

I don't know about you, but in my opinion that math is just not headed in the right direction.

Thus, I was not to keen on affiliate marketing until yesterday. It was then that I stumbled upon

*** The Second Tier ***

* Free affiliate sign-up (normal)
* Free Monday training calls (NOT normal)
* Free articles, videos (NOT normal)
* Instant access to help via Email and phone (NOT normal)

Fact is *** The Second Tier *** has so many NOT NORMAL advantages to affiliate marketing that it makes there entire package solid gold.

Did I tell you about *** The Second Tier *** free training materials? No? Well, take my word for it; you want to check their system out.

So, next time you find yourself asking
Does affiliate marketing work as a good sales mechanism follow-up with this question. When was the last time I stopped by *** The Second Tier *** and proceed accordingly.

Forget about Google

No matter how you look at it, everyone with a website is swimming upstream, hoping to become highly popular or the go-to place for some specific information or category of information. An undue amount of attention has been put on Google rankings, because people think that's how they will get popular; if Google lists them near the top of the list.

Over the years, the healthy swimmers have devised and acted on dozens of "get-ranked-quick" schemes, as I like to call them. But Google is a well funded entity with more internet tech's than you'll ever be able to afford. And they have a goal which is likely counter to yours: List the most popular and appropriate web sites for the searched information. They are constantly finding out what is interfering with their algorithms, and neutralizing the problem. As we work to outsmart them we are just helping them debug their system.

So what's the answer then?

I say, forget Google, or at least put them to the back of your mind for now, and ask "What would it take to really BE the most popular web site for the category I serve?"

To help think tank this idea, ask yourself "If I had $20,000 to spend on making this the best web site ever, what would I do?" Build an entire business plan around that, and leave out any SEO funding for now. Chances are you'd have a hard time spending it all, and you'd have an amazing attractive, full-featured site that was exactly what people want when they search your category, along with some over-the-top functionality even THEY wouldn't have thought of. They'd bookmark it, tell their friends about it, and use it frequently.

You don't have $20,000, but that number was just to get you to stop limiting yourself. A lot can be done for little or no money and the willingness to miss your favorite TV show while you hunker down and get to work.

The irony is that if the "get-ranked-quick" crowd had done this instead of chasing temporary ranking highs, they'd be a solid contender with a "real" google popularity that will never go away. The temporary and mechanical ways to get some notice will always fade, but if you make your quality and user experience the priority, then any google notice you manage to get will translate to a permanent following, and free you from chasing after ways to fool Google.

Then, with each new level of your site's improvement, do a little promotional effort, or even hire an SEO guy you trust to keep the PR fires burning while you concentrate on making a site that's PR-worthy. Listing your site in some directory may get you a temporary spot in Google's limelight, but if you get visitors who say "Wow, this is great" They will "digg" you, "stumbleupon" you and tag you as "del.icio.us."

"If you build it they will come" is not entirely true. People still need to find out you built it. But if it's good enough, all you have to do is prime the pump, and then watch as it takes on a life of it's own. I post links to some of my favorite sites fairly often. One such site is switchplanet.com, a DVD and Game trading site. Yes they spend some time "getting the word out" but first they built a fantastic site. I have never met the owner, but I like their site well enough to link to it. He has a full time job like most of us, but he and his wife built this site, and then never stopped adding features. A DVD trading site with forums, user movie ratings, interest groups that you can found or join, and he never stops building. It's an amazing effort really, but it's the kind of thing anyone can do if they just keep at it.

There are actually, quite a lot of hints and tips about blogs. However the biggest of them all is that you need to have a blog. Not doing so will really cost you a great deal. With that said here is the list you have been looking for.

Niche WordPress Blogs

Ever felt like a fish swimming upstream in a tsunami?

Try explaining to people why you like Blogger instead of niche WordPress blogs and you just might see what I'm talking about.

Key benefits of using WordPress include.

* Easy to edit templates
* Thousands of themes
* Comments, trackbacks & pingbacks
* Passwords
* Prevent spam
* Require user registration if desired
* Multiple authors for one blog
* And that is just the start

WordPress is clearly worth taking the time to check out. My own experience was that niche WordPress blogs were much more difficult to understand than Blogger. Tomorrow we will look at other free blogging platforms for you to use.

Blogger Blogs

Blogger is my absolute favorite blogging system.

I like Blogger blogs because…

Google owns Blogger. There is no question but that Google is a leading search engine on the Web. Given that they are linked at the hip it is not hard to surmise that Google will give Blogger blogs more page rank benefits than other blogs?

Some say this is a debate. That is there choice. I'll continue to state the obvious.

Also, Blogger blogs are easy to manage and have numerous cool add-ons that everyone should check out.

Find out why to use Word Press in the next issue.

Why Blog?

Have you started blogging?

Or are you still asking yourself "why blog"? Especially since everyone else has a website.

There are a number of reasons why you want to blog instead of building a website.

1.] Search Engines love blogs more than websites.
2.] Blogs are characteristically more interactive than websites
3.] Generally speaking, blogs are easier to maintain than websites

The ultimate would actually be to have a website and blog tied together as they will help each other grow.

Now you know "why blog", next time we will begin comparing different types of blogging interfaces you can use to blog.
